Understanding the ChargeHub Map

In order to use the ChargeHub Map efficiently, firstly we will take a look at the map key where the use of colour coding will allow the user to easily digest the information being shown.


Pictured below is the map key which explains in detail what different colours represent within this application:


The following table will go in-depth on the meaning of each item of the map key:


Stations marked with this symbol are compatible stations and can be activated via the ChargeHub application.
Stations marked with this symbol are not compatible stations and cannot be activated via the ChargeHub application.
Level 1
Marked by the greyish-blue colour, are the slowest of the three to charge and EV owners are usually given one with the purchase of an electric vehicle. They are plugged from the vehicle into a 120V outlet.
Level 2
Marked by the blue colour, these are the most common type of charging stations which are found both publically and residentially. They are plugged into 240V outlets.
Level 3
Marked by the yellow colour, these charging stations are also known as Fast Chargers. These are only found commercially and provide the fastest charge. These are used during long trips to get the most charge for your time and allow you to get back on the road faster.
Available
Found within the inner ring of a charging station's locator pin, the green colour indicates that this station is available for use.
Busy
Found within the inner ring of a charging station's locator pin, the red colour indicates that this station is currently in-use.
Offline
Found within the inner ring of a charging station's locator pin, the black colour indicates that the station is offline.
Tesla
The Tesla logo found in the middle of the charging station's locator pin indicates that this is a Tesla station.
Coming Soon
The traffic cone icon found in the middle of the charging station's locator pin indicates that the station is under construction and will be available soon.



When first opening the ChargeHub application (after sign-up), you will land on the ChargeHub Map. If location is allowed, the application will open on your current location.



1The blue circle indicates your current location.
2This button brings up the list of filters you can apply to alter the search results on the map.
3This button will bring the map back to your current location.
4This button will refresh your search results.
5This search bar will allow you to type an address or location.
6This button is to add a charging station to the map.
7This button brings up the map legend.




Pictured below is the list of filters which can be edited to alter the user's search results:

  

Activation MethodAllows the user to filter the map to only show stations that can be activated via the ChargeHub application.
LevelAllows the user to filter by charging station level.
Minimum PowerAllows the user to use the slider to filter by minimum power output of charging station.
Connector Allows the user to filter by connector/plug type. 
Station Location Allows the user to filter the map to only show stations that are located at specific locations.
NetworkAllows the user to filter by network operator.
OtherAllows the user to filter by other metrics.
MapAllows the user to add features to the ChargeHub map.
